launching of a new t-shirt collection and artwork

work developed in a silent, ground shaking mood - urging to inspire, new kick of consumer consciousness.

after romania was established in 1990, shortly after the onset of the social revolution, a pressing need to help the numerous abandoned and neglected children was revealed.
Rasatmak Ananda and his team who work for the universal relief organisation AMURT are now taking ‘lost’ youth of the street - infusing them with purpose in life, empower them to become responsible, contributing members of society, to attain personal socio-economic independence.

he wrote to me:
“Boys and girls living under the street in the heating pipe tunnels. Places where there is no difference between homeless people and street dogs.
Example, in a place we met one pregnant 15 years old girl in accompany of 10 street dogs. The homeless is a neglect society by its own. Bucharest moves on but among the the homeless there is no changes what so ever. The uniqueness of our centre is to facilitate the youths personal growth,  it has been to identify the real personality in each youth, to move from "boyhood" to men. Not ordinary men, but making an effort of becoming contributing members in the society who not only knows how to take care of himself but also helps and take care of others. To integrate in to the society is not only about having a job and apartment, but to change the behavior and appearance. Our project is constantly progressing. It was quite "revolutionary" for the first homeless youth in
our centre.”

the exhibition supports the youth program financially.
for each t-shirt sold, 25 % of sales price goes directly to the homeless youth centre in romania.
